Overview

As you venture to the sandbanks in front of the Sahara Desert, get ready for an adventurous day of fighting the Assaka dunes, meeting live scorpions, and exploring the walled walls of Tiznit. This full-day guided tour ensures you have an exciting day on the off-travel route.

Board your 4×4 jeep and head to the sand dunes in front of the Sahara Desert. Along the way, stop for a cup of mint tea in the suburbs of Ait Melloul, and then continue through the banana plantation-stroll among the dense plants and feel the tranquility of being in a remote place. Ride along the rugged river bank until you reach Resmoca, where you will meet a charming scorpion player, ready to show you the famous yellow scorpion dance. Walk on the smaller sand dunes and enjoy the expansive scenery, only sand. Before heading to Assaka, head to the Youssef Bin Tachfine dam to take photos and enjoy the panoramic views and calm waters. After enjoying a traditional lunch, proceed to Tiznit, the ancient capital of silver. Take free time to explore the city walls around the medina and its exotic souks, which is famous for selling Berber silver jewellery-a great souvenir idea.
